We are a British Charity wich acts worldwide  as a helping and friendly hand to cover all kinds of needs. We complement the activities of other respected and well known agencies, both public and private

What we do

We aim to relieve poverty throughout the world and in particular in India, Peru, Spain and the United Kingdom. We work in the  advancement of education; the relief and prevention of sickness, disease and physical or mental disability.

 

 

Areas of work

We give grants to those who are disadvantaged, offering financial support to organisations and individuals.
We provide educational scholarships and bursaries in collaboration with the Royal Holloway University of London

Free cataract surgery- Holy Cross Hospital, India

Free cataract surgery- Holy Cross Hospital, India

The Friendly hand will sponsor  200 cataract surgery in collaboration with The Holy Cross Hospital.

The Hospital, located in Jyothinagar, Chikkamagaluru, in Karnataka State, performs surgery, mostly for poor and middle class people. It is  a non-profit making Institution. The members of the religious congregation who work in this Institution do so as volunteers. No patient is refused the necessary treatment for economic reasons.Holy Cross hospital widened its facilities by starting the Ophthalmic department in October 2015.
