Providing safe drinking water and a new school bus for the Loyola School in Hindupur (Andhra Pradesh, India)

The Friendly hand has sponsored the project of construction of a mineral water plant for the 1.400 students of the Loyola School, of the Jesuits, in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, South India.
The project location, namely Hindupur, is a drought prone area of Andhra Pradesh and is identified as 2nd lowest rainfall in the country. The Jesuits are working in this area since 1988, educating the rural poor at the invitation of then Government. The education program is rendered at a subsidized rate ( minimum fee without any profit).
In the past, students have experienced  very poor teeth and experience pain in joint bones. It is due to prevalence of high fluoride per cent in the water which is not recommended for drinking purpose. With this potable water plant the students have safe drinking water.

Also we have sponsored a new school Bus that will provide safe transportation to many students of the Loyola School.
